i have acer aspire 5720z with vista how do i disable touchpad as i have a ps2 mouse

Go to Control Panel > Printers and Other Hardware > Mouse. Click on the Device Settings tab (on the far right) and choose the touch pad device, then click Disable. Voila, your touch pad no longer responds to incidental contact. Just be sure you remember to turn it back on before you disconnect your external mouse and take your laptop on the road.
This for xp.
