How to claen a laptop screen?

  Need4Speed 08:07 03 Apr 06

I have just bought a laptop and there are fingermarks etc on the screen.

What is the best way to get rid of these without damagng the screen. It states in the manual a soft cloth but this isn't working!

Any Ideas anyone?

Get an e-cloth and wet it with warm water, wring until just damp and carefully wipe the screen. Have a look here click here You also can get them at supermarkets although I think they are cheaper on line. J.B.

"I have just bought a laptop and there are fingermarks etc on the screen".

If the laptop was bought new, finger marks on the screen would indicate to me that it was, in fact, previously used.

Take it back to where you bought it from.

I misread your question, if you just bought it and there were fingerprints on it when you took it out of the box, as Jackcoms says take it back. J.B.

WhatI meant was I bought a laptop and have managed to get fingerprints on it,whan bought there were none!

In which case, J B's original suggestion is as good as any.

And in future keep your fingers off the screen! ;-((

I use Servisol anti-static screen wipes. They're very effective. Sorry, but I can't remember where I bought them, which is a psoblem, as the container is almost empty!
