How to choose hd to boot up in w2k?

  MichelleC 14:47 13 Sep 03

I've got w2k on 'c' & 'e' but 'c' os is caput, so I'd like to auto boot from 'e'. When choice comes up on bootup for 2 'windows 2000' if I don't arrow down from top choice ('c') to next option it auto boots 'c' after x seconds (so I've got to stay for bootup). How do I get it to either transpose s/up options or disable 1st option.

i use xp so the menu may be slightly different but try:

control panel/system/advanced/start up and recovery/settings and choose the default OS to start and the time out here.

I think you've cracked it. Thanks. (I tried Computer Management etc).
