How to change /export pdf text to word or excel

  skan 22:38 01 Dec 06

I have a number of files which are in pdf. Annoyingly, I want the text in the pdf to be in words or excel so I don't have to re-type and therefore use the information in my thesis.

How can I do it or do I need a software to do that? If so where & is it free or how much?
Guide me step by step since I am not good with IT

If you just want the text in your document and you are not worried about the layout just select the text using the "Select Text" button on the Tool Bar and wiping across the text you need with you mouse curson. Then copy and paste it into your Word/Excel document.

In pdf file - Right click / choose 'allow hand to select text' / highlight required text / Ctl c (to copy to clipboard) / open word document / Ctl v (to paste into doc. Formatting can then take up most of your time. Good luck (and it's free).

Thanks, I will try that & see.

Also, I receive the pcadvise warning that you have post reply on my question but when I follow the message & click on the link, nothing happened.
Pop up window blogged.
This only started this last few days.

I wonder how to overcome this?
