How can I remove XXX phone dialers?

While I was running SPYBOT on my parents PC I noticed files with names like, TEEN XXX, XXX Dialer etc. I think they may have been downloaded when we've been on sites to download games or utilities as I am 100% sure my parents (in their 60's) haven't surfed any porn sites to get them! What concerns me most is and I could be wrong here but can these programs actually use the phone lines when my parents are using their Broadband connection to make calls? For peace of mind I want them deleted but after running Spybot, Ad Aware (I think!) and Norton AV they are STILL there! Any help as usual would be greatly appreciated!

You have to tell Spybot and Ad-Aware to fix (delete) them. They won't fix anything without a checkmark. (I always just get rid of everything.)

if they have DSL or cable
as long as thier is NOT a phone cord connected to a dialup modem u have no worries
as it cant dial out

u can usally find the dialer in the add/remove progams and remove any search bars, or porn name like items

also check the dialup networking or network connections
for any dialup connections and deleted them

install spywareblaster to help prevent this junk from getting it the computer

get it here click here

also maybe run ad-aware to also check and remove
any other stuff

Hi ivesy. I asked the same question some time ago and was told that you have not got all those things that you see but it is spybot actually searching to see if you have actually picked any of them up,in which case it would deal with them. Every time you run spybot you will see the same list. Meshuga.

Install SpywareBlaster and AdAware plus the new SpyBot S&D. SpywareBlaster will usually stop dialers before they 'fix' on your computer.AdAware and SpyBot will clean up the remnants. But remember, these are only good, if you keep checking and installing new updates.

ya spybot 1.3 has a few new build in auto protection
updated Immunize
& the Sdhelper & Teatimer
both help prevent spyware from being installed

get it here

'but can these programs actually use the phone lines when my parents are using their Broadband connection to make calls?'....not on Broadband but disconnect your old internal modem to be safe. Broadband is not a dial-up.
