Hi
How can a print the full screen width of a web page?
When I do try to print a web page the far right edge is missing.

How do I fix this without switching to portrait?

Thanks in advance

There are many solutions to this problem. All depending on 'wot you got and wot you want'

You could try copying any text to Notepad and printing from there!

If your printer supports this method.........

Highlight the text you require, Right click, select Print. In the new window SELECT the SELECTION button (you will only see it if your printer supports the feature) and then Print.

Only the portion that was highlighted will print.

Hope this helps

Kev.

in IE, file\page setup, reduce left&right margins to 5mm.

should improve how much gets printed.

Sorry don't know why the link ain't working....

Try putting " printing web pages " into the Search site facility on the left.

Kev.Ifty, do your search from within a thread, rather than the main forum pages and the address should then hold the keywords. click here

The daft thing is i already knew that!

It must be getting late.

The method I use is to print in Landscape, do this from within your printer settings.

This problem has been around for ages and there doesn't appear to be a sure way of fixing it. I tried all that fiddling around with page margins and so on but found, as Starfox suggests, printing in landscape is the easiest way.

Firefox has a print option to "Shrink to fit page width", but I haven't tried it yet.

when I click print = there are then other options - I select 'Effects' then Select Print Document = on A4 then tick box scale to fit page

then hope for best
