How can I back-up Microsoft Outlook 2000

  Fried~Chips 21:26 23 Apr 08

I need to back-up Microsoft Outlook 2000 Emails & Address contact list. When I use the option for Export and select Text File comma, Excel or any option it says the export option is not installed.

I no longer have the disk for office 2000, is their any other way ?

All the info is normally held in a single .pst file. Find that and all you need do is copy it. There may be more than one if it's been archived.

Settings for accounts are simpler written down.

How will I know if its been archived if possible or is their a option to Archive these.

Also is the .pst file just Emails or also mixed with Address Book.

I was tempted to import into Outlook Express as a temp measure but again import from destination is unknown.

Thanks DieSse

There will be more than one .pst file if it's been archived. Copy all of them.

A .pst file contains adresses, calendars, noes, emails etc. All you need except for the account settings.
