how can i allocate bandwidth

hi there how can i allocate bandwidth to my xbox 360 so i dont get a lag, it is through my eathernet port on my pc and i get a lad when im downloading, is there anyway that i can allocate like 1meg broadband to my console and not get a lag, also can i do this so my other pcs dont go slow when searching the internet. thanks

It's all to do with QoS, Quality of Service. I found an old link which might be of some use click here

Do you use a router? Sometimes it's possible to configure in the settings of the router.
