How to alter 'Boot up' sequence (windows 98)

Following on from an earlier thread - as a favour (ever wished you had not got involved!) I am trying to set up a rather old computer to give to someone in less fortunate circumstances.

Found my 'step by step' instructions (thanks for the earlier help in pointing me in the right direction).

Now, firstly, I think I need to alter the bios setting to boot the computer from the cd rom? I can get into the bios settings (amazing for me) but am unable to influence anything. No keys have any effect.

The display includes: Boot sequence: C,A

I think I have to change this to: CDROM,C,A

Is this correct? If so I am wondering how to do this?

You are correct with the sequence. Page up/down or +/- might work to alter the bios settings, or else the arrow keys... (it normally tells you on the screen what to use, what make of bios is it ?)

None of the keys have any effect - I can press away merrily without altering anything!

The computer was donated by someone else who has no manuals etc.

Desperate for some ideas! Anyway round this?

Whoops, silly me - page up etc. does work. Thanks for that!

No doubt I will be back with more queries.
