Since loading a lot of Windows updates including SP1 I looked at Add/Remove programs and found these:-

Internet Explorer Q824145 Size 1.14 MB

Windows XP Hotfixes :- KB823182, KB824105, KB824141, KB825119, KB826939, KB828035 and (SP2) Q819696.

Non of them were there pre download.

The last 7 have no info with them at all, ie size.

Can they be deleted?

No do NOT delete all are needed by windows and Internet Explorer for safer surfing and security.

They are part of SP1 update. Leave them.

Thanks Lozzy, will leave alone. Just never saw these sort of things when running 98SE.

I have read, somewhere, that Hotfix KB 821557 should be removed (will have to look back and see if I can find the reason!) - however when I did see if it would remove, it gave a list of other progs (including my AVG Free) that might then be affected.
I did not do the removal, but has anyone else come across this article about removing 821557?

Only if you have an issue with that update as per click here

Thanks again, Jester2K. Glad I had not just been dreaming about Hotfix 821557!! Not that my dreams usually have anything to do with Microsoft anyway!! Cheers.
