Sorry, lost touch with this thread. Nellie2 should be along soon.

please move HijackThis into a permanent folder. It is important that you run HijackThis.exe in its own folder so the backup files that HijackThis file will create will not be accidentally deleted on reboot.

Open 'My Computer', then double-click to open C:\ (or the drive letter that your Windows is installed)
In the menu bar, click File-->New-->Folder.
That will create a folder named New Folder, which you can rename to "HJT" or "HijackThis". Now you have C:\HJT\ or C:\HijackThis\ folder. Put your HijackThis.exe there.

Download the Hoster by Toadbee from click here, we will use it later on.

Run hijackthis and click the scan button, when it has finished scanning then put a tick against the following, close all other browsers and windows and click 'fix checked'

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {FD3A6AB4-5527-4B52-90AF-F90CD3270861} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\inetconnect.dll (file missing)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [RegistryMonitor] c:\registry.pif

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Microsoft Security Hot Fix Update] "%SystemRoot%\mshotfix.exe"

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MSUpdate] c:\CriticalUpdate.exe

O4 - Global Startup: default.scr

O4 - Global Startup: usbwin32.exe

Fix the following two O6 lines if you did not set this policy

O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions present

O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present

Then reboot into safe mode and and enable viewing of hidden files and folders

Double-click the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options. Select the View Tab.

Under the Hidden files and folders heading select "Show hidden files and folders[/b]".
Uncheck the "Hide protected operating system files (recommended)" option.
Uncheck the "Hide file extensions for known file types" option.
Click Yes to confirm. Click OK.

Then find and delete the following files

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\default.scr

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\usbwin32.exe

Whilst you are still in safe mode, double click the hoster exe that you downloaded earlier and click the Restore Original Hosts button. This will restore your hosts file to the MS default.

Reboot and post a fresh logfile for me
