Home Wireless Network

  shil 15:08 13 Nov 07

I have set up a home network with a desktop and a laptop. Both are visible in My Network Places but when the remote PC is clicked the message:

" computer name> is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network connection. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permission.

The network path has not been found."

Any advice please?

Sounds like a firewall problem , if you have one active , try disabling it ( or even on both PC's ) and try again , if it then works you have found the problem , you'll need to let the firewall(s) know to let the network through .

The problem seems to have resolved itself without any further action from me. Thanks for your input Ashrich.
