I have recently got the following error message 'Hole has encountered a problem and needs to close' If i go to the technical data there is a whole load, too much to print here. what is causing this and how do I fix it?

I am running xp pro, amd athlon 1300 processor with 512mb memory

any ideas appreciated

I assume 'Hole' is the name of a program you are running.

Is the error message occuring everytime you run it or is this the first time it has happened?

this message has appeared on the last couple of times i have started the computer. once i get the desktop i get the message. its not a program i'm running, as far as i'm aware!!

Checkout msconfig startup and see whats there.

Could it be OLE? Object Layer Embedding - something to do with graphics.

Even if it is, I don't know where to go from there but perhaps someone else might.

definately says hole, i have run msconfig, didn't find anything in there, however when i started up on the diagnostic start up mode i didn't get the error message

I would try Ad-aware click here

The latest version (and update) includes removal of Hole (was ToonComics) click here
