History Files

I am just starting to learn about the system administration, etc., on my computer. I am wondering if anyone can help me: is there any way that I can permanently save my history files? I would like to be able to save the files in another folder, even if the 'delete browsing history' is done on my Internet explorer, to keep track of the internet usage. My operating system is currently Vista. Or is ther ealready a place where I can find this within my system?

Just backup your History folder, it's at:

C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\History.

It's a hidden folder, so when you open "Computer" to navigate to it, click on, Organise > Folder and Search Options > View tab and choose the "Show hidden files" option, click Apply and OK to exit.

Nope, doesn't work in Vista, sorry, DiRobinson.

What can I do then? What is a reliable program to download to be able to do this?
