Hi, Can anyone help please. For some reason I have lost the history in the internet browser bar. All the settings are correct but when clicking on the drop down arrow, the white box is there but empty.

have you recently run a cleaning program /wizard?

Have you run any registry cleaners such as Ccleaner/Winaso/Reg Mechanic/Regscrub etc ?

These will clear your history unless you configure the programs not to do so.

There is also some settings in IE that will clear your history once the computer is turned off after so many days.

Tools / Internet options / browsing history / settings / Days to keep History ?

Thank you VoG, tried that but still no joy!

you would appear to have somehow managed to clear your history by using a cleaner or else.

What is the cache size set to

The history is still there on the favourites/history section of the internet explorer 7 section but not the browser. I haven't cleared it and even if I had it does not keep new ones at all.

Sorry I am not familiar with cache size, can you tell me where to find this please?

Have you tried Ctrl+Shft+H?

I'm presuming you mean that the History panel will not appear.

No I don't have a problem with that history panel, that is fine and the history is there. It is the drop down box on the IE address bar. It is just an empty white box with no previous addresses in that I have visited
