do you have a specific problem if so please tell us what it is.

  bfc_tangerine 22:13 16 Feb 05

Several problems - this pc is connected to another in the household with wireless network cards. Both pc's suffer the same problems.

1. Random crashes
2. Random reboots
3. Main pc randomly struggles to load internet pages. Don't know about other pc as it will not connect to the internet anymore even though the network connection is excellent and all shared files can be accessed as normal.
4. Call of Duty and United Offensive games had problems that got worse and now will not play. Could not uninstall using windows or game uninstall command. Managed to fix by using windows explorer to open the cd roms and reinstall over the top - games are running fine (for now!)
5. Rest of problems are small and could be here all day typing them out!!

Running XP Pro, have MS antispyware, Spybot, McAfee antivirus and using Windows firewall.

Many thanks in advance.

I only see one line in your log that worries me and that is a search page

Random reboots sounds like a possible hardware conflict problem.

As for the trouble you are having loading webpages, that may be a network problem... or related to whatever is causing the reboots. Have you checked your error logs?

  bfc_tangerine 23:19 17 Feb 05

sorry don't no were the error logs are.

  Nellie2 10:51 19 Feb 05

Well in Windows XP if you click on Start > Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer

You will see three different logs.. double click the system one to open it then just click on any of the lines to get a bit more information.

thanks for the help im sorry about the long wait for the replies, the kids comp has real probs now it will only start fully in safe mode when it starts normally it will only load the desktop picture no icons or start menu, some times it comes up with disk failure. If it is a hardware problem with both comps then the only thing the same in both are the wireless cards.I had a bad crash on my comp just after christmas it would not load at all i linked the hard drive to my kids as slave,I used windows explorer and it showed one file 2.6gb the file name was wierd something like this Q~~.The hard was 80gb but showed as 2.6gb same as the file, managed to rescue my all my data thanks to getdata back.this Crash happened couple of weeks after installing the cards don't no if it is just coincidence.
