Hijacked Browser

I think my browser is hijacked. When I search I am taken to commercial sites and not the ones I clicked on and get a lot of page cannot be displayed. I was infected by xpantivirus2008 but I think I got rid of it but I still don't have control. Could it maybe be iexplore.exe has something to do with it. I have Embarq security and it says my virus protection is very old but I can't get an update. I tried Kaspersky but I couldn't get it to validate. I can't get windows updates.

Search engines take me to commercial sites or I get a Page Cannot Be Displayed. In forums if it say click here I get a Page Cannot Be Displayed. I can't get Kaspersky to validate. Before when I had Embarq Security I got messages that my Database was outdated. I had Embarq on the phone for over an hour and they couldn't resolve it so I switched to Kaspersky.

you should be posting the HJT log in a specialist forum (not here).

Malwareremoval click here
Virus Vault click here

Thats just two but many more out there.

MCE2K5 has pointed you to a link, read carefully and follow the instructions.

Ive had a quick look through your log and there are a few things that need looking at and one im not sure of and will need expert diagnosis.

Once you have posted a HJT log,do not download/install/run any further programs unless instructed to do so by your helper.
