can anyone advise please - my home page is being hijacked by a search engine called I search.....I have done all the usual such as virus, ad aware and spybot.....I have up to date Norton software etc...... also probably related I have a folder keeps appearing in my favourites called file sharing and containing porn links.....again it is defying all normal efforts to get rid.....advice please

Hi dunc101, I know that this is not a fix but once you have solved your current problem you may want to use this free program click here

its called Startpage guard (SPG) you can use it to set your home page to always be the 1 u want and any attempt to hijack it is cancelled out.

Thanks fr the advice......I have now installed and run spy sweeper along with running adaware, spybot and a virus check again....I have also run the "I search" uninstaller.

Unfortunately my problem remains - however spy sweeper is now warning me when changes are about to happen ( which seems to be everytime I open internet explorer) two things happen at once m - my homepage tries to change to I Search and a folder about sharing files tries to appear in my favourites....

bit of a perisitent one this !!
