Hiding inactive system tray icons

Hi,

my mobo has got a lan connection, so it appears in the XP sys tray.

I've tried amending the icon so its always hidden, but it keeps rearing its ugly head.

Apart from disabling it in device manager, any ideas on how to get it to keep out of the system tray?

Thanks.

Control Panel, Network Connections, click on the one for your LAN connection, Properties button and take the tick out of "Show icon in notification area when connected"
