HID wireless keyboard and mouse

I recently installed a wireless keyboard and mouse (usb)PC line on Win xp pro all was working well with no problems. At the weekend I had to tidy up cables and connections on the computer. I plugged the usb for the HID into the same usb port. Now when booting the machine I get a boot message keyboard not found, on resetting sometimes it boots straight into the bios, sometimes not. Eventually it will start ok and all works fine. Anyone had similar probs. just to recap it all works fine once I am in windows, jut appears to be on the initial switch on.

Suggest that you remove and reinstall - a PS2 mouse might be handy in the interim. Check that you still have all your USB ports enabled (there's sometimes a specific entry in the BIOS for a USB mouse) and have a look in Device Manager to see if any wobblies are shown there.
