My PC has lost its USB 2 ability.
Its a Shuttle AB48 motherboard.
This happened once before, about a year ago when I had to reset the BIOS.
Then it was just a matter of updating the USB Host Controller Drivers.
Now no matter what I do I cant get USB 2 back.
When I try to update the drivers it says the driver software is up to date .

ty in advance for any help

Look in device manager do you have an "Enchanced Host Confroller"?

There is no Enchanced Host Controller listed
under USB controllers

Thats why you do not have USB2 speed

What type of chipset for the USB?

Check the BIOS hasn't reverted back to normal speed instead of HI-SPEED.
