When i boot up windows xp it tells me to start a rapid recovery or start windows normally i have done both.
Then a blue screen comes up with stop: 0x00008086 ( 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000 )

what does this mean? ram issue?

Have you moved the pc, installed anything, checked everything is seated correctly, checked for loose connections?

I would guess that you have one SATA drive and it is set for RAID in the BIOS.
Go into BIOS and set it as IDE (yeah I know it is a SATA drive) or set it as ATA.
