This has just happened on my old pc that i use for storeing nothing to vital.Starts up ok and the desktop loads, as soon as you try to open anything:Blue Screen displaying this.
An exception 0E has occured at 0028:C0048419 in VxD VFAT (01)+ 00008929.
This was called from 0028:C182E620 in VxD voltrack (04)+ 00000430 Press any button to continue but the big freeze is on by then.???
Windows ME about 6 year old pc not connected to the WWW.

when it freezes unplug from the wall socket. when it restarts scandisc will auto-run and fix errors. this is what works on my old me pc.

Hi Fruit Bat /\0/\ norton not installed now uninstalled it months ago but i will take a look in the reg and see whats there.

Why not use HDD from second PC on first PC as slave? If already some drives, get a PCI IDE card to install it.
