HELP System Recovered From Serios Error

Every time I switch on my PC I get a Microsoft Windows box telling me THE SYSTEM HAS RECOVERED FROM A SERIOUS ERROR.
When I open up ERROR REPORT this is what I get
C/windows\Minidump\mini 020904.01 dmp
C/Docume 1\Family\Locals 1\temp\weri tmp.dir00\sysdata.xml
I have tried restoring, but makes no difference.
Can anybody help?

The minidump file is what Windows generated with information on the cause of the crash. Did you install a device or software just before the problem started? I think the most common cause of this sort of problem is a defective or incompletely installed device driver.

i haven't installed any hardware or software recently. Even if I had would a restore not correct the problem?

Hi, your hard disk maybe faulty... i suggest doing a scandisk on it

I'll try s scandisk, but hopefully its not a case of a faulty hard disk. I just had my PC update last year with new hard disk included.

scandisk did the trick thanks
