Hi i was hoping someone on here could hellp i have purchased this monitor http://www.misco.co.uk/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=519790&Tab=13&NoMapp=0 and this desktop pc http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pavilion-P6780UK-Desktop-Phenom-Windows/dp/B004KSE4DC/ref=sr11?ie=UTF8&qid=1317222370&sr=8-1

I have connected them together via a hdmi cable, the picture is great but i have no sound, am i missing something shoud a jack wire be conneted or something. i have als tried setting realtek high defenitition to default but still no sound no matter what setting i try. Some help please i'm a complete novice.

I am assuming that you got a manual with your monitor? if not get it here:Manual Then have a look at pages 6-7 which will answer your question. Your monitor does not come with speakers by the way.

Not all HDMI setups carry audio as well as video, you may need a separate Audio cable, or perhaps S-Video.

Yeah thanx guys i'm relising now its no speaker and i can only listen through headphones.

Can anyone recommend a good set of cheap small speakers?
