Help with a rewritable CD

Wonder if anyone can help with what might be an obvious question.

I have created a data CD on a Windows XP machine (with the drag and drop action) that is not readable on a Windows 98 (First Edition) PC. The Windows 98 PC dosn't even recognise the data CD in the drive. Do I need to download something so it recognises it.

Any help appreciated.

What software do you use (nero/roxio) for rewritable CD?

Not sure but if you want to read cd on another player i think you have to close the recording.

Windows 98 cannot read the UDF file system that packet writing uses. You would be better off using a 3rd party app and installing it on both machines.

You need to install a UDF reader. The free roxio one can be downloaded here

Since XP uses a roxio supplied apckage to do it's writing, this will hopefully do the trick.
