My granddaughter has a Epson Stylus 480 printer, which has only a parrallel port input. Her laptop has only USB output. I have a USB to Parrallel cable but the printer does not work. The error message is ( No communication) or something like that. The printer does work on my parrallel cable from my computer. Can anyone suggest a place to get updated suitable USB drivers for this printer please. Xp is her op. system. This is becoming urgent for school work.
Thanks in advance.

XP has all the drivers you need built in
Plug in trhe printer,
switch on

Go Start/Printers Faxes/ install new printer[leave any already instyalled in place] the window wil ask for CD or select from list.
Choose Select from list
Select Epson.Scroll to printer model
Click install
Job done. The USB /Parrallel issue will resolve automatically
