Does anyone have any idea how to remove the keyboard from an Acer Aspire 1300, I need to replace the power pin after one of the disabled kids I foster knocked my sons laptop off the table and broke the pin...any help will be gratefully received

Don't know but if there is nothing on their site in the way of a diagram I can only suggest getting in touch with the Acer support line.

As a postscript to Dan the Confused's post. I don't know about the Acer but on some laptop designs, in order to remove the panel above the keyboard you need to free it by pushing a paperclip or similar into a hole in the rear, much like freeing a stuck CD drive. I needed to do this with a 'medion' notebook to get at the memory slot - and its a bit less scary than it sounds!
