Hello, I am of course aware we are all supposed to look for the ansewers first before starting a thread, but i'm unsure of the variables effecting the question: I'm not even sure what the question is!

OK, I have a Dell Studio 540.

It has a WD 5400rpm Primary with a software Partition.

I have added a Samsung F3 as a second hard drive. It has about 600gb of 1000gb on it now. I am copying most of it to my software partition on C/I (C partitioned with 'I')

I am using EaseUS to resize/create partitions on my F3.

It is taking me an age to copy data from F3 to other drives, so i can install Windows 7 64bit. I am copying incase I tried to partition it and install and something went wrong and I lost my data.

Soo. My main question is:

Can I use EaseUS to create a software partition on my F3 and install Windows 7 to that partition, while retaining all of my data? If so, exactly what do i need to do? i.e do i need to swap my seriall cables? I need to know the fine details so there's no room for error. Total set-up.

I hope this is clear.

Thanks very much for reading this far.
