Have wrecked shiny new PC by messing up partitioning. Windows XP Pro won't boot off C drive. Partition Magic rescue disk reveals "Error 1516 (Partition Improperly Dismounted)". PowerQuest website says solution is to run CHKDSK/F on the affected drive. How do you do that please? Assassin

start the pc hit f8 at the beep and choose to start with the command prompt
then at the prompt type "CHKDSK/F" without the quotes.
