Help with OE mail

I'd really appreciate some help with sorting out an email problem.

I use OE for email and have a blueyonder email address which is now part of virgin media. For quite some time if I've opened OE as it checks for new mail it opens a logon dialogue box asking for username and password for the following server "pop3.blueyonder..."

The dialogue box has a username (which has been the original provided by blueyonder) and the password as a series of *****. So fine then. However, if I click "OK" the box returns again and again and again. The only wasy to stop it is to keeping clicking on "cancel." It then checks the various accounts as normal. This started spontaneously.

I'm trying to sort it out as its become very aggravating. I went onto the virginmedia site where my mail is forwarded from and I've reset the password (I'd cleverly forgotten what my old one was). I'm not sure if I need to change any of the settings in OE itself. I find all this pop3 and smtp stuff completely baffling it doesn't make any sense to me.

I'd appreciate any advice at all. Just remember I'm an email thicky. Cheers!
