help for a novice.

Im having an incredibly large amount of pop ups have spybot installed and have tryed several blockers but to no avail. any ideas its driving me crazy. pop ups seem to be from the same places all the time. thanks in advance

click on start, then go into control panel.
Go into admin tools and then services.
Scroll down until you see 'messenger' and right click on it, select properties. Then STOP the service and change it to disabled.
That will stop all those annoying pop ups that are coming through messenger.

click here, download & run Shoot the messenger and it should stop pop ups from messenger.this works on ALL versions of microsoft windows (as far as i know)

madPentium's advice is ok too, if you have windowsXP.

Also install SpywareBlaster (freeware) - click here. It blocks a lot of ad/spyware in real time as you surf.
