NAV 2002 is a very out of date version of the program, and will not be offereing you good protection - nor is it supported by Symantec any longer - you should consider updating to the latest 2005 version, or changing to something better.

Look at NOD32 click here

"NAV 2002 is a very out of date version of the program, and will not be offering you good protection"

Since when has the above version with the latest updated definations not given the user full protection?

2002 continues to be supported with updates.

Have a look here click here I have had experience of being unable to remove NAV 2003 and the tool worked for me.

Updates to the Virus patterns are one thing - updates to the program - NAV2003, NAV2004 and NAV2005 are improved versions of the program itself, specifically designed to provide extra protection that earlier versions do not.

If you ask Symantec for support on issues with NAV2002 they will inform you that this version of the program is no longer supported.

Never the less, but NAV 2002 will give the user the same antivirus protection as version 2005 provided it is reguraly updated.

loss of technical support might be a problem to some users but the programme itself is still recognised by Symantec and updated on a regular basis
