Help needed with Vista Premium Updates!!

  rickf 15:57 01 Feb 09

Hi All,
Got a new laptop with Windows Vista Premium. It is set to allow automatic updates but on the task bar, the icon shows updates available. When I clicked on this, I was asked to install a bit of software before the updates. Having done that a page comes up to search for updates. On clicking this, after a short while it reports windows cannot search for updates with error code 800F081F

On viewing update history, everything has failed apart from updates the very first time. Can someone throw some light on this and how to resolve it? Never had problems before with XP on my desktop. Cheers
