Help needed please

Hi everyone,

This is my first visit to this site, and im desperately hoping someone can give me the answer.

I have connected a router to my main pc and modem, and its all set up and working properly. On the 2nd pc i have installed the drivers required and plugged in the USB adapter. Everything mentioned in the set up manual happened, and on the 2nd computer it shows im connected and i have a good signal strength.

However, and heres the part i need help with, when i try to view any website, using IE, i just get the "page cannot be shown" message. Its driving me mad, and i havent got a clue where to start looking to solve this problem.

Any help will be gratefully received.

Was the 2nd PC connected to the 'net in some way before you added the wireless adapter?
Assuming XP, start with going through the `Create a New Connection` wizard.
Go to Control Panel/Network Connections, on the left handside under Network Tasks, click Create New Connection, follow the steps. When it asks what type of connection select "DSL, always on (no username/password required)".

And choose `Set up my connection manually` the step before that one
