help needed to connect monitor ..

Hi, just got a monitor so i could have two screens running from a laptop, got it home and the plug on the end of the lead has pins and there is no socket on the back of the laptop, well, there is but it also has pins instead of holes.. any ideas?

It appears from the spec it has a DVI output, if this is the case and your external monitor hasn't got DVI then you will need a convertor like this click here if I got the spec right you have the connector you can see on the left, the gold coloured one is a DVI output. You just plug this adaptor on the back of your notebook and then connect the monitor to it.
