Help needed with 98SE and 2000 ( Driven to tears!)

Pentium 111, 550Mhz, 256SDRAM, unknown Mobo (tiny)
40GB Maxtor HDD.

I was running 98SE quite happily on a Fujitsu 17GB HDD. Installed Win2000Pro over the top. Encountered a dark blue STOP screen but overcame this. Attempted a system back up using Norton ghost and everything came apart. Zapped the HDD and attempted sys restore: zilch. Had emergency rescue disk, no good.
Bought new maxtor HDD, formatted. Installed win98SE. Problems with display. Installed win2000 on separate partition, fine until I installed Packard Bell 1200 scanner (Win2k). Blue stop screen appears even when running safe mode.
Wish to delete win2k and start over.
How?

If you want to start again with a clean slate, the best way would be to use Fdisk to delete all partitions, recreate a new partition and then format.

See click here for instructions.

If you set the W2K partition as NTFS, you might be better off using Ranish than Fdisk - see click here

Both Fdisk and Ranish will permanently delete all data - make a backup first if you have anything of value stored.
