Recently I've had my tiscali broadband pack through, and set up the modem etc,it works fine for about 10 mins and then cuts off,and won't connect again for ages,I dont know what the problem is.At first I thought it might be because I've connected the modem to a netgear router, but when disconnected the router and just connected the modem to my laptop with the cables,it STILL lost connection after about 10 minutes. Please help its driving me mad =(
Thanks

Have you contacted Tiscali for help?
May be a problem their end?

I have contacted them, they said at first "you must either use the tiscali modem we sent you OR the netgear, not both" which I didn't think was true, unless im wrong. Then he went on to saying,he will send me some filters,as I only have two plugged in,but 3 phone sockets. So I thought I might get more sense out of Netgear,so rang them, they were helpful, and seem to have sorted the problem, but then after a while,"connection lost" again

Is the Netgear a cobined modem router or just a router? What model?

If you have phones connected to all 3 sockets you will need 3 filters, if no phones connected a filter is not required.

If netgear a modem/router then problems will occur as you're trying to connect through two modems then router. If Netgear is router/modem then just use the netgear.
