We have a problem with multiple domains and sites using Frontpage 2003 and we have been told by 1&1 that to host multiple sites/domains you have to set them up as subsites in one folder and have a default.asp file pointing to which domain or site you wish to see on the internet.

This has now caused problems with some search engines as the main domain name is redirected to another folder on the server, and many search engines don't recognise or accept sites that are redirected. Any suggestions how to overcome this problem?

I imagine you have a Windows set up with 1&1.

I use their Linux, which allows you as many domains in separate folders as your webspace allows. I have about 12 sites in one business package, all individual folders in the root.

I may be wrong about the Windows server, as I have never used it.
