Help. I get a high pitched sound after I turn on my newly built PC!?

you need to isolate whee the sound is comming from, use a rolled up newspaper to act as a sethoscope.

try CPU fan, Hard drive, fan on video card if fitted, for starters.

is it a single beep or a continuous noise? Does the pc start up despite the noise? Anything on the screen? Any lights flash on the keyboard or case front?

I would suspect the power supply. Either its defective, not powerful enough for the load its having to supply or its old and tired.

your graphics card screeches if it is low on power and draining system.

Change the position of your Ram. Just to double check they are in the primary sockets.
