I have scanned my computer with Avast Anti virus and it has discovered a trojan. When I tried to delete it, avast error message appeared: 'Cannot process. Access is denied'. In the log at end of scan it said 'error occured during moving file to chest'.
Virus name is:Win32.Trojan-gen.{UPX!}
File name:C:\PQSD\CPS\0002F1\FILES\001\109E51.DAT

Avast also found same(?) file in C:\_RESTORE|TEMP|A0003797.CPY

Can I get rid of this or am I stuck with it please? Any ideas?

Thanks
Wimboess

go to symantec website, search for removal tool, follow removal instructions.

mainly it will be along the lines of:
turn off system restore (assuming XP O/S)
boot to safe mode, run virus scan again, run removal tool, reboot to normal mode, re enable sys restore,

hope this helps

When I had a trojan problem Belatacadrus advised using one of these. click here
or click here

You may even need to use both.
Worked like magic for me.
