help with graphics card installation

I have an onboard 845G graphics chipset and have just brought a Hercules 3D prophet 9000.

I cannot disable the onboard intel graphics.
I have read that you need to disable it from the bios but I cannot get in to it.
I have tried hitting the delete key and all of the F keys on bootup but I still cannot get in to it.
I am running win XP Pro.
At the moment I have the Prophet graphics installed and as soon as I reboot the computer automatically installs the onboard graphics. Ho can I sstop this from happening.

many thanks,

Go to Device Manager and disable the onboard graphics in there. Sometimes that is enough to do it, The_Mix.

you dont say which computer you are using, sometimes the facility for entering the bios is disabled and you would have to seek advice from the manufacturer as to how to re-enable it. try their website and see if you can get help there or mail them and see their response
