Happy new year to all
I've got a ThinkPad 600e I installed through a clean installation win98 installed all drivers and basic software (office Norton).
When I start my computer it will reach to the part were it will show win98 screen and will hang for 20 minutes I can see no movement from the hard drive after that it will continue to boot and work fine?
ON shutting down system it will show shutting down but will freeze and I have to shut manual

Try starting in safe mode step by step option and see where it stops could be a driver problem

as if a driver is causing the problem. Do exactly what Rayuk suggests. Load each driver as you are prompted and watch carefully to see what causes the stop.
