Help finding if RAM is compatible.

  objectnull 19:30 08 Apr 07

I just got 2 sticks of RAM from a friend that is stripping his computer and I would like to find out if it is compatible with my motherboard.

I've been to sites that can tell me what RAM is compatible if I want to purchase more RAM (e.g. click here) but I can't find one that will let me know if a certain type of RAM will work.

Here's what I have:

A google showed your board accepts the following RAM

3 x 184-pin DIMM Sockets support max. 8GB Registered ECC PC3200/2700/1600 DDR SDRAM memory
Dual-channel memory architecture

The modules you have are 240 pin PC2 4200 DDR2 which your board does not support

Slight mistake the SK8N takes 4 x 168pin DIMMs but that makes no difference
