Help with connecting laptop to my TV

I am trying to connect my laptop to my tv. I have been advised that a vga to Scart Lead is the best way as it's only one lead and you don't need two leads like you do with an s cable and audio cable.

Can anyone confirm this before I go and buy the wrong cables.

Or alternatively is there any wireless options on the market

Thanks in advance for any advice

it will only be good for dvd or games on a tv, not text

you still need a sound cable as it will not go down a vga cable

Hi
What type of TV are you hooking laptop to
If its an LCD most have a PC vga connector already fitted
You will still need a 3.5 jack lead for sound though
I use my £2" LCD for my monitor and the Pic is great
