As I lost some files on Windows XP. I pressed F10 system restore all that happens now I get a message
“This copy of Windows must be activate with Microsoft before you log on.
Do you wish to active Windows now YES –NO”

If I click yes it goes to the Desktop but that is all that happens.

If I say no it goes to Log on screen, once again that’s all that happens.

How do I get around this problem

Mmm... the famous 'HELP'

  SANTOS7 19:29 12 Dec 07

You need to do one of two things, activate by phone or online, the online method will be simpler...

constructive criticism says that a good appropriate thread title will get far more respose and help than one that says 'help'

and system restore is accessed the start menue

what did you do originally to lose the system files?

  wee eddie 20:54 12 Dec 07

What type of files did you lose and how did you lose them?

  Spr 20:57 12 Dec 07
