Header problem

I use MS Word 2003 on an XP Pro PC. I have set up a letterhead template to use to write letters that will then print onto my stationery. I have created a header with a text box inserted to make positioning of the recipient's name and address easy.

However, try as I may, I cannot find a way of stopping the header (complete with the recipient's name and address) appearing on the second and subsequent pages.

I've tried going into view Headers/Footers/Layout and clicking 'different on first page' but that doesn't work.

Can anyone please put me out of my misery on this one?

Try inserting a Section break > Next page then in the second section View > Headers and Footers and clicking the 'Same as previous' button (to make it not the same).

I followed this to the point of clicking 'same as previous' button and I don't have that. I have 'link to previous' and 'show previous'.

It shows the words 'same as previous' in the top right corner of the header. I'm stumped!

Sorry, click Link to Previous to undo the link like click here
