HDTV or LCD Monitor

I have a Samsung 22" monitor connected via DVI to a Radeon 5770.

The card as a HDMI port, will the Samsung dedicated LCD monitor provide a better picture then using my Panasonic 26" with HDMI ?

HDTV 1920×1080
22" MONITOR 1680 x 1050

The TV is a higher resolution but it has a bigger screen so it's hard to tel with out looking at the two and comparing.

Why not connect both and see which you prefer.

I have a Sony 19" monitor connected via DVI, I also have my Samsung 32" TV connected via HDMI. Picture quality very little difference. Usability for every day use I use the smaller screen and use the larger screen for videos etc.
