HDD Recognition problem

  Johnnn 10:08 22 Feb 04

Just installed a new hdd on a system that runs XP pro. Removed the old hdd and place in in my old system running 98SE. Hoped to format it and use it as a slave, but the Bios recognises it but the system dosen't, not even in Dos. I've got DOS f/disk & format tools floppy but that dosen't find it either. How do I format this HDD for use with Fat32. because the HDD was in a XP Os system I presume that it is a NTFS drive. The drive is a Western Digital WD400 40gigs.

Your best bet would be to put it back into the XP system and format it there as a slave drive.
