I have installed a new 200GB HDD as a slave to a 120GB master and auto detected it in the BIOS. It is also in the Hardware list but shows as a removeable disk in the control panel. When I try and format the drive it asks me to insert a disk. I am running WIN XP Home SP2 with a P4 3GB chip with 2GB memory. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried to format using Control Panel/Admin Tools/Computer Management/Disc Management Right click on it and choose Format.

You will need to partition the drive first from the same place. It needs to have at least one partition before it can be formatted.

Right Click "My Computer" choose Manage\Disc Management. You can format etc in there, and that's where you will find your disc before it's setup
